Dhawan at "shikhar"

He might have missed a highest list A score but he thrashed 248 in just 150 balls to get India A to 433
"I was aware of the record and it felt really special to score these runs," Dhawan said after the match after India A's 39-run win over South Africa A which took them to the tri-series final against Australia A
"When I got out in the 44th over it occurred to me that if I had batted till the end I had a chance to score a triple hundred. I am happy with what I scored though. It did cross my mind that I joined Sachin paaji and Viru paaji in scoring a double century in a one-day game," he added.
It was an amazing knock by the youngster. it will surely help india in future and also give more confidence to Dhawan.
Dhawan smashed 187 runs in his test debut against Australia.
This year, Dhawan has scored four international centuries - one in Tests and three in ODIs - and was Man of the Series in India's victorious Champions Trophy campaign. Reflecting on his knock on Monday, Dhawan said he picked his strokes well.

Bayern Munich beats Man city 2-1 to win audi cup final on thursday

Bayern Munich won the Audi cup after defeating man city 2-1 in a mini pre-season tournament final on Thursday and look on track for the season's start next week.

Bayern lost 4-2 to rivals Borussia Dortmund in the German Super Cup last week
.
"We played a good first half but did not attack enough," Bayern's new coach Pep Guardiola told reporters.

"Obviously City are a very strong team. With some substitutions in the second it worked better. I am optimistic for the season. The coach always has to be optimistic."

Despite dominating much of the game, Bayern, who won the Champions League as well as the domestic double last season, found themselves trailing on the hour.

New City signing

Alvaro Negredo latched on to a Samir Nasri pass to beat Javi Martinez in a sprint and slot past keeper Manuel Neuer on the hour.

India may give off-spinning all-rounder Parvez Rasool a break.

Though India were always expected to rout the hopless Zimbabweans, there were a few key notes of interest regarding Virat Kohli & Co's African sojourn when they left for Harare two weeks ago.
They ranged from testing the bench strength to Kohli's captaincy. Zimbabwe was supposed to turn into a land of opportunity for the young Indian team, at least for two weeks.
This was to be the culmination of a dramatic journey that has seen Parvez Rasool battle and overcome prejudice and lack of support through sheer determination and belief in his talent.
Not surprisingly, social networks were abuzz with Kashmiris expressing their disappointment at Rasool not getting a go in the fourth ODI, especially since the series was already decided and the think tank were keen on bringing their reserves into the mix. While Cheteshwar Pujara and Mohit Sharma got to make their ODI debuts at the Queens Sports Club on Thursday, Rasool had to watch from the sidelines yet again.
But come Saturday, the 24-year-old off-spinning all-rounder's wait is likely to be over. He may finally get an opportunity to showcase his wares on the world stage cricket.
It will also be a great chance for the Indian selectors to see exactly what it is about Rasool's off spin that has impressed experts around the country including the likes of his former coach Bishen Singh Bedi. In all likelihood, he will replace Ravindra Jadeja, who has had another stellar series with the ball.

Hope for Rahane
Along with Rasool, Mumbai batsman Ajinkya Rahane too looks set to play, and recommence an ODI career that has stalled at 16 matches for close to six months. The right-hander could come in for statemate Rohit Sharma, considering that he's opened for India before. After measly returns in Harare, Rohit found his feet again in the fourth ODI with an unbeaten half-century. He could do with a day off after having been on the road for close to two months.

Neymar "feels complete" at Barcelona

"I turn my head and there is Messi. Or Xavi, (Andres) Iniesta or (Carles) Puyol. I feel complete, it is like a dream. I am really, really happy."
A great sports personality Neymar said these words when asked that how he feels in Barcelona. Barcelona's new recruit Neymar says he is living a boyhood dream after completing a high-profile move from Santos and joining up with his idol Lionel Messi.
The 21-year-old forward, who made his Barca debut as a late substitute in a 2-2 friendly draw at Polish side Lechia Gdansk on Tuesday, is likely make his first appearance at the Nou Camp

when the La Liga champions play Santos on Friday for the Joan Gamper invitational trophy.
"When I am training it feels like being in a dream," Neymar, the standout performer for his country in their Confederations Cup triumph in June, told a post-training news conference on Thursday.
"A dream I had when I was a kid and that is coming true now," he added
.

Live From Ashes

Some sports news from Ashes.
Smith was in good shape early in the morning but his dismissal was a bit of a brain explosion. He swiped at Graeme Swann with a wild shot looking for six and instead found Jonny Bairstow at mid-wicket who took a simple catch.

The other man to fall was David Warner, and there's much contention in social media circles already about whether he deserves another chance or not.

Despite missing the first two Tests he was brought back for Manchester and spent more time walking to the crease than he did in the middle. His knock of 5 off 10 balls was brought to a controversial end when he tossed away one of Australia's referrals after clearly edging Swann to Jonathan Trott at slip.

Clarke's ton, and DRS system made unwanted headlines.

- It has been nearly 3yrs since Swann last took Clarke's wicket in any format

A captain's knock of 125 not out from Michael Clarke has put Australia in a strong position after day one of the Third Test at Old Trafford, but once again in this Ashes series umpiring and the DRS system made unwanted headlines.

not surprisingly india have taken a 4-0 lead. some good performance by indian bowlers and not to forget sharma and raina back in form

Its too easy for indian bowlers.

A very poor performance by Zimbabwe as they are bowled out for a mere 144. After getting off to a slow start, they began losing wickets at regular intervals and lost half of their side with just 47 on the board.
